The Founder
Sarah Kwaji is dedicated to the art of storytelling, from developing the narrative to bringing it to life. Her work focuses on the compassionate struggles of different individuals, especially when history, politics, and personal calamity intersect. She began her film career in 2017 as a student at the Toronto Film School and later pursued postgraduate studies in Advanced Film Production at Sheridan College. She works on various projects in the Canadian Film and Television industry, including commercial, scripted, and unscripted productions, in multiple capacities. Her experience in casting, assistant directing, and production management, has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to advance her career further.
To provide a platform for underrepresented voices and tell stories that resonate with a broad audience, she founded SSK Productions. This initiative aims to create impactful and meaningful content that highlights diverse experiences and perspectives, particularly those of Black African women.
As a Black African woman, her identity and background profoundly influence her work.
